A Month That Feels Like Home: Berkat Stays at The RuMa

A STAY DESIGN AROUND REFLECTION AND RENEWAL

There are hotels you check into, and then there are hotels that seem to understand why you’re there in the first place. At The RuMa Hotel and Residences, one of Kuala Lumpur’s Michelin Key hotels, the Berkat Staycation during Sajian Warisan isn’t simply about a room and a buffet. It’s about shaping your entire day from the first light before dawn to the final cup shared after night prayers.

Set in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, The RuMa frames the Month of Renewal with intention. Thoughtful design, attentive service, and Malaysian hospitality come together in a way that feels grounded rather than grand.

A Considered Start Before Dawn

Pre-dawn meals can often feel rushed or improvised. Here, sahur is treated with the same care as dinner service. Guests wake to a thoughtfully prepared meal designed to nourish rather than overwhelm. Expect comforting staples alongside dishes that sustain. Balanced flavours, warm broths, protein-rich selections, and gentle sweetness to carry you through the day ahead. The setting allows for ease, whether you choose to dine in the restaurant or in-room.

It’s a small detail, perhaps, but it changes the experience entirely. Instead of scrambling for something quick, sahur becomes a composed start to the day.

Iftar at ATAS

As the sun dips and the day’s fast draws to a close, the Sajian Warisan buffet at ATAS becomes the evening’s centrepiece. Rather than overwhelming guests with sheer volume, the spread unfolds like a culinary map of Malaysia. Under Rasa Nusantara, rendang, gulai lemak and ulam-ulaman honour Malay, Bugis and Minangkabau roots. Selera Pesisir brings coastal freshness, think Umai Melanau and seafood prepared at live stations. Warisan Rempah traces the spice routes with nasi briyani, murtabak, and Chef Suhalmi’s singature Beef Rib Rendang Tok, alongside an oven-roasted whole lamb leg carved to order.

Moreh

When night settles in and conversations begin to stretch across tables, Moreh Tiffin steps in. Available from 10PM to midnight at Santai, The Librari, and via in-room dining, the offering is curated for sharing. Light bites, subtle sweetness, and warm drinks create space for connection after prayers at nearby Masjid Asy-Syakirin. It’s not heavy or excessive, just enough to accompany stories, laughter, and that familiar post-tarawih ease.

A Complete Ramadan Experience

What makes the Berkat Staycation compelling is how seamlessly it integrates dining into the overall retreat. You break fast at ATAS with Sajian Warisan’s expansive culinary journey. You return later for moreh. You rise early for sahur without stress. And in between, your room becomes a private sanctuary overlooking the city skyline.

Packages start from MYR750+ per room per night, positioning it as an accessible luxury, particularly for those looking to host family from out of town or simply mark the month of Ramadan differently this year.
