BilaBila Mart Brings the Talents of Local Artists into Your Daily Shopping Runs

This Merdeka, BilaBila Mart is bringing a new wave of “Sapot Lokal” to its shelves. As part of its Kedai Anak Malaysia Merdeka 2026 campaign, the local retailer has teamed up with three Malaysian illustrators to turn their artwork into something you can actually take home and use every day.

This exclusive collection puts the spotlight on Monkiddo by Jayee Lim, Lukistulis by Iffah and Rojak Doodle by Yuvenes, with each artist offering their own take on the many sides of being Malaysian. You’ll find the illustrations on foldable shopping bags, bottle cap pins and stickers—all made to add a little fun and whimsy to your daily essentials.

THREE ARTISTS, THREE PERSONALITIES

Jayee Lim has taken the chaos of the daily grind and turned it into a colourful universe filled with adorable “monsters”. The award-winning characters transform what is usually a dreaded part of everyday life into something much more pleasing for everyone.

Next, Lukistulis by Iffah brings an Easy Malaysian perspective to the collection. The Kota Kinabalu-based illustrations draw from Sabahan traditions and motifs to create characters that carry their roots with them wherever they go. With wide eyes and playful taglines, you’re sure to find a piece that fits your personality.

Rojak Doodle’s name is an homage to the “rojak” nature of Malaysian culture. A celebration of all walks of life here, the project has collaborated with other creatives across all 14 states in Malaysia, honouring how Malaysians can come together and exist alongside one another sharing stories, shops, and the “Sapot Lokal” spirit.

THREE ARTISTS, ONE MESSAGE

While the three illustrators have distinctly different styles and tastes in their work, they all bring the same straightforward message to this collaboration: supporting local will always be the move. Whether it’s just picking up a new sticker or showing up for exhibitions, the gestures don’t have to be grand—only meaningful.
