Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur unveils Champagne Brunch at Merdeka Grill, an indulgent monthly affair that promises to become the city’s ultimate Sunday ritual. From 25 January 2026, every last Sunday of the month will see the 75th-floor restaurant come alive with the clink of glasses, the aroma of sizzling seafood, and the subtle sweetness of chocolate.

Where sunlight pours in and the city stretches endlessly below, there is something about being so high up that makes a long lunch feel deserved. But the draw here is not just the view. The brunch itself is a celebration of craft and creativity. Located on Level 75, Merdeka Grill has long been a beacon of luxury dining, but the Champagne Brunch takes indulgence to another level. Guests are invited to explore a well-curated menu that is a perfect balance of decadence and refined technique.
On a sweeter note, a chocolate and cheese tableau at Cacao Mixology & Chocolate showcases Chef Holger’s 71% Chocolate Mille-Feuille, each slice a layered sweetness for chocolate enthusiasts, while seafood lovers can dive into generous towers of Arctic shrimp, King crab, and Rock lobster. At the live tartare station, guests can personalize their plates to their own liking, choosing their preferred cuts and seasonings while chefs assemble each portion to order.

The afternoon begins with a gentle invitation to unwind. A kombucha trolley makes its rounds for those pacing themselves, serving housemade kombucha alongside a list of varying non-alcoholic options. For everyone else, there is prosecco, red and white wine, and free-flow Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé, each drink complementing the breadth of the menu.
A roaming cocktail trolley adds another layer to the experience, with bartenders shaking and stirring classics like Whisky Sours and Negronis to order, which pairs perfectly with the faint sounds of the live saxophonist playing in the background. The music, the soft clinking of glasses and the echoes of laughter mid-conversation blends into a rhythm of a normal Sunday afternoon at Merdeka Grill. What makes the brunch resonate is not simply the abundance of choices, but rather the balance of it all.
