A captivating new exhibition titled “Never Too Far” by photographer Dju-Lian Chng invites viewers on a visual journey through the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This collection of 25 thought-provoking photographs isn’t your typical cityscape showcase. Chng’s passion for photography began at a young age, sparked by accompanying his father to a film company at the tender age of 13. Interestingly, Chng has even admitted to using photography in high school, not necessarily for artistic expression, but as a clever way to “cheat” (his words, not ours!). Thankfully, his photographic journey took a more creative turn. Now, with nearly 27 years of experience behind the lens, Chng brings a unique perspective to his exploration of Kuala Lumpur’s diverse neighbourhoods.
Stepping into “Never Too Far” is like embarking on a treasure hunt through the urban jungle. Chng masterfully captures the delicate balance between the towering skyscrapers and bustling streets, showcasing the pockets of resilient greenery that flourish within the city’s concrete embrace.
