Hennessy Artistry returned to Kuala Lumpur this November with its boldest edition yet, reaffirming why Hennessy isn’t just the world’s leading cognac — it’s a cultural benchmark. Over 3,800 music lovers gathered at The Arch Galeries, KL’s newest lifestyle destination, for a night where East met West, global talent shared the stage with local icons, and music became a shared language of craft and connection.
Some nights leave a mark long after the last beat fades. Sometimes it’s the music, sometimes the crowd, sometimes the atmosphere, sometimes all of it. Hennessy Artistry 2025 was one of those nights: a moment where energy, artistry, and connection collided.

A LEGACY IN EVERY POUR
For more than 250 years, Hennessy has been at the intersection of craft and culture. From Tupac to Drake, Nas to Snoop, Hennessy is woven into music history, mentioned in over 3,500 songs, more than any other spirit. That same ethos drives Hennessy Artistry: a global platform where music, craft, and creativity converge, producing moments that are as memorable as the cognac itself.

Hennessy Artistry doesn’t rely on big names alone. International headliners like Showtek shared the stage with Malaysia’s rising acts, crafting a lineup that felt as cosmopolitan as it was distinctly local. Each performance fed the next, turning the night into a narrative that moved seamlessly across genres.

WHERE EAST MEETS WEST
The lineup was deliberately varied, a study in contrast. Dutch DJ duo Showtek delivered high-octane electronic beats, while Hong Kong R&B sensation Tyson Yoshi brought smooth, soulful grooves. Local favourites Dato’ Maw, Yaung, BLINK, and DJ Chuno added distinctly Malaysian sounds, turning the night into a sonic journey across continents.
Every performance was calibrated to maintain energy, surprise, and connection. The result was a night where the crowd was just as essential as the performers, a signature of Hennessy Artistry’s ethos.
BACKSTAGE WITH SHOWTEK
Showtek, the Dutch DJ duo behind some of the world’s most infectious dance tracks, gave us a peek behind the scenes. “We’ve always been mixing a lot of things in our music,” they explained, blending different cultural influences into a single track, always with a dance element and a touch of street-meets-evolved energy — a cultural vibe you can literally fist bump to. Asked how they’d describe the “sound” of Hennessy if it were a track, their answer was simple: “Always unexpected, but still familiar.”
Their pre-show ritual? Sunglasses, a little meditation, and indulging in local food — KL chicken satay made a strong impression. In 2025, Showtek’s sound is straightforward, energetic, fun, and timeless, constantly evolving alongside their own growth. “We experiment with new elements to keep things fresh,” they said, “but always in a way that keeps it familiar, so it never feels distant.”
The backstage glimpse revealed a duo as precise as they are playful, translating that energy directly on stage. The crowd responded instantly, reminding everyone why Hennessy Artistry isn’t just watched, it’s lived.

From LED dance floors to interactive collaboration zones, and from fashion and tech installations to streetwear pop-ups with HdPC, every corner offered something to discover.
