A house defined by the horse gallops into its most symbolic year yet
Let’s be honest, by the time Chinese New Year rolls around, we’ve all seen enough red-and-gold storefronts to last a lifetime. Every brand has a “collection,” and every mall has a horse. So, why should you actually clear a spot in your Chinese New Year long holiday week to visit The Gardens Mall for Longchamp?
Because this year, it’s personal. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, and for Longchamp, the horse isn’t just a seasonal trend—it’s their soul. The horse has always been Longchamp’s emblem, galloping through its history since 1948, carrying a sense of movement and freedom. This year, that energy takes shape in the heart of The Gardens Mall. Step inside the pop-up, and you’ll forget about red shelves and predictable displays. This is a space that moves, that plays, that reminds you why the Maison has always felt different.

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Longchamp sets out to turn its flagship stores across Asia into an immersive playground. At the North Lobby of The Gardens Mall, the pop-up is centered around Longchamp’s iconic horse, while photobooths, Plinko games, scratchcards, and a mechanical fair with animated horses fill the space, inviting guests to participate rather than simply observe from the sidelines. It feels playful without losing its class, all while being an experience that appeals to both the young at heart and those feeling a little whimsical during this festive season.
The campaign behind it all leans into that same imagination. Titled Riding the Spring Breeze, it stars Cici Xiang in a pop-coloured dreamscape where horses feel like the ones from our childhood drawings rather than from a stable. The blue and green hues both impossibly vibrant, like the color from crayons. Bursting with nostalgia, the installation echo the spirit of the campaign, and acts as a reminder that the Lunar New Year is all about galloping into a new season with optimism.

Alongside the immersive pop-up experience, Longchamp introduces a capsule entirely of red. At the heart of the red capsule is a refreshed take on Le Roseau. This festive season, the Longchamp horse appears in a luminous gold against shades of red ranging from carmine to burgundy – two auspicious tones long associated with prosperity, protection, and renewal. A palette that feels unmistakably Longchamp. Adding to the capsule are a silk ribbon with an equestrian print, red card holders that remind you of the ang paos you receive from your relatives, and a plush horse key ring. Small pieces, but festive nonetheless.
Rendered exclusively in red, the collection arrives in special-edition packaging and will be available in selected boutiques across Mainland China, Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan and Singapore from 30 December until 26 February.
As the Lunar New Year ushers in new beginnings, Longchamp’s tribute feels especially meaningful. A house built on the symbolism of the horse could hardly let this moment pass quietly. This Lunar New Year, Longchamp gallops ahead once more with color, imagination, and bright beginnings.
